Neon Reflected Buuz Dumplings on Kasur Bedside Table

Steam rises gently from a white ceramic bowl filled with plump Mongolian buuz dumplings, their pleated tops slightly translucent against the dim room. The bowl rests on a wooden bedside table in Kasur, where late spring city lights begin to glow through a nearby window. Neon hues from the street outside reflect sharply off the moist, steaming surface of the dumplings and the glossy rim of the dish. Soft window light falls across the table, creating a mix of cool blues and warm oranges on the wood grain. Negative space surrounds the bowl, showing the solitary meal against the darkening room. One reflection of a distant sign glimmers on the condensation clinging to the side of the bowl.
