Behind the footwear, stacks of silk ties in charcoal, navy, and burgundy fold with crisp precision against a matte gray wall. The clean surfaces of the San Diego atelier reflect the city lights beginning to glow in the late summer dusk. No clutter mars the organized rows; only the sheen of polished leather and the smooth weave of silk define the space. One strap rests at a sharp angle, its buckle catching a thin line of reflected blue light that cuts across the dark floor.
