Monks Walk Dawn Cloister Storm Aftermath

Wet stone pavers reflect the pale grey sky as three figures in dark robes move single file along the edge of a cloister arcade. Deep shadows pool under the arches, while a sharp rim of dawn light catches the hems of their garments and the wet surface of the walkway. Heavy autumn leaves, brown and curled, scatter across the damp ground, clinging to the base of the weathered columns. The air appears cleared of rain, leaving surfaces slick and dark against the softening horizon. Their postures remain upright despite the gloom, emphasizing a quiet endurance against the cooling morning. One wet leaf rests against the rough texture of the stone base.
