Milk Churn in Dublin
by Alan Huynh
Bright afternoon sunlight cuts through the open doorway of a traditional Dublin pub, illuminating a heavy wooden table anchored by a chipped enamel milk churn used as a makeshift coaster. The cold, blue-grey metal of the churn contrasts sharply with the warm, amber glow of the Guinness poured inside, creating a distinct reflection of the ceiling beams on the dark liquid surface. Behind the table, a blurred background reveals peeling lime-green paint on the doorframe and a glimpse of wet cobblestones outside, proving the location through its specific architectural decay and weather. One condensation droplet rests on the rim of the glass, ready to slide down the side and merge with the puddle forming on the wood grain.
