Metal Stool in Jaipur

One metal stool sits on the sun-bleached sandstone ledge of a traditional Jaipur balcony, its surface reflecting the harsh noon glare. The silver seat shows deep scratches and dents from years of daily use, against the smooth, pale stone beneath it. Beside the stool rests a folded blue cotton cloth, its fabric slightly frayed at the edges from frequent washing. A small potted geranium spills green leaves over the rim, casting sharp, dark shadows on the warm ground.
