Map Tube Stand in Evening Barracks Light

Cool blue evening light falls through the room, casting a pale glow over the scuffed metal frame of a map tube stand. The stand holds a rolled canvas tube secured by a rubber strap, resting on a clean, uncluttered surface. String lights hang overhead, their warm yellow bulbs reflecting softly against the polished metal and the rough texture of the paper visible at the tube ends. The turn of the seasons is marked by the crisp, clean surfaces and the restrained arrangement of equipment. Shadows fall sharply across the floor, defining the space between the stand and the wall. A small scratch on the metal rim catches the ambient light, highlighting the wear of daily use.
