Early autumn starlight casts a cool, steel-blue wash over a heavy canvas pin bag drawer resting on the cold concrete of a New Brunswick parade ground. The fabric shows deep wear at the corners, stained with oil and dry mud from recent field exercises. Inside the open drawer, rows of brass pins and metal tools sit in rigid, separated compartments, organized for the upcoming support and flightline workflows. Faint ground glow from distant lights creates a low horizon of soft amber beneath the dark sky. The hardware gleams with a dull, matte finish, untouched by human hands until the shift begins. One brass pin lies slightly askew near the front edge, catching the faint ambient light against the rough texture of the worn canvas.
