Man after dark in Singapore

Under the harsh sodium glare of a HDB corridor at 11 PM, a young man in a faded tank top stands beside a row of mismatched shoes, holding a white plastic bag that spills out the top with a single, crumpled tea canister. Beside him, a small, scruffy terrier mix sits patiently on the damp concrete, its fur reflecting the orange streetlamp spill. The corridor walls are lined with peeling green paint and metal security gates, while a nearby neighbor’s door displays a faded red lantern. The man adjusts his grip on the bag, the tea canister clinking softly against a plastic cup inside, as the dog tilts its head toward the camera, ears perked.
