Indigo twilight falls through a window, casting a cool blue hue over a rectangular tea tray resting on a wooden table. Several golden-brown madeleine cakes sit on a sheet of crinkled parchment paper, their shell shapes distinct and slightly raised. Warm interior lamps glow softly in the background, creating muted reflections that stretch across the polished floorboards. The dry season air is invisible, yet the lack of condensation on the glass and the crisp texture of the pastry suggest stillness. The arrangement is simple, with the cakes clustered near the center of the tray, their edges catching the dim light. A small ceramic cup sits to the side, its rim reflecting the room's ambient glow. at the edge is the way the parchment paper curls slightly at the corners, revealing the dark wood beneath.
