Luxor Chipped Ceramic Water Bottle

A chipped ceramic water bottle sits on a rough limestone sill in Luxor, its surface coated in the fine, pale dust typical of the misty dawn. The pale morning light catches the condensation droplets clinging to the plastic, highlighting the wear and tear of daily use in the heat. Behind the bottle, the heavy stone archway of an ancient temple frame fades into the thick, grey mist that obscures the distant courtyard. One dried palm frond rests against the base of the bottle, its brittle texture against the smooth, cool plastic.
