A pair of heavy-duty dish brushes rests near a sink, their bristles stiff with dried soap, while a shallow reflection on a brushed steel fender shows the distorted silhouette of a passing lowrider. Dust settles along the baseboard beneath a row of vintage license plates, catching the warm amber glow. A muffin tin, repurposed to hold rusty bolts, sits beside a coping saw and a saucer holding a discarded gum wrapper.
