Late Afternoon Light on San Diego Breakwater with Black Tetrapods and Spray

Sunlight spills across the concrete breakwater in San Diego, casting long shadows over the interlocking tetrapods that line the edge of the Pacific. The structures are coated in dark, wet spray from the winter surf crashing against the shore. A lone surfer walks along the narrow concrete path, carrying a board under his arm, while others sit further down the wall, watching the waves. The sky is clear and bright blue, typical of a crisp afternoon in California. The rugged texture of the sea defenses and the casual activity of locals enjoying the coastal weather near the harbor.
