A terracotta flowerpot rests on a sun-bleached limestone ledge, its rim catching the harsh, flat noon light that washes out shadows in Athens. The pot holds a single iris blossom with deep violet petals that droop slightly under the intense heat, their edges softened by the glare. Beside the pot, a small glass carafe filled with water sits transparent and cool, reflecting the white sky above. Dust motes drift in the air around the base of the pot, settling on the rough stone surface.
