Cool indigo twilight washes over a weathered metal drawer unit standing along the concrete edge of the Hefei airbase flightline. Late autumn air presses against the steel casing, which shows faint streaks of moisture and surface rust. Inside the open drawer, organized compartments hold distinct piles of field support hardware, separated by heavy-duty dividers. The cool blue hour light reflects off polished metal tools and matte canvas straps, creating sharp highlights against the deep shadows of the compartment walls. Concrete ground beneath holds scattered debris and damp patches, while the background fades into a dark, featureless horizon where the flightline meets the sky. A small rust patch marks the corner of the metal frame.
