Soft indigo twilight falls through a high window, casting a cool, muted glow across a metal drip-acclimation valve board mounted on a concrete wall. Thin streams of water flow from individual brass nozzles into a stainless steel basin below, catching the warm amber light of nearby string bulbs. Rain-slicked concrete floors reflect the mixed lighting, while wet rubber mats lie scattered nearby. The brass fittings show signs of frequent use, their surfaces polished by water and time. one drop of water hangs from the edge of a nozzle, suspended against the darkening room, before falling into the basin with a silent rhythm.
