Balinese Night Water Blessing Temple Ceremony

Warm candlelight flickers across a stone temple courtyard in Denpasar, casting soft amber pools on wet pavement slick from the monsoon. Participants stand in rows, their silhouettes framed by towering gateways that recede into the dark distance. Ceramic water vessels gleam under the low glow, their surfaces reflecting the dancing flames. Mist hovers just above the ground, condensing from the humid night air. The scene is still, charged with a quiet intensity as figures hold offerings of banana leaves and incense. In the foreground, one drop of water slides down the rim of a brass bowl, catching the light before falling into a shallow stone basin.
