Soft, overcast light falls through the high windows of a Khartoum hotel lobby, illuminating a polished stone floor wet with recent rain. A shallow puddle near the entrance shows a distorted reflection of the building's glass facade and the blurred red glow of passing tail lights from the street outside. The water's surface ripples slightly, fracturing the architectural lines into shimmering shards of grey and crimson. Clean, uncluttered surfaces surround the reflection, showing the poised calm of the service area. The wet floor mirrors the ceiling fixtures, doubling the soft ambient glow. A faint reflection of a reception desk stands in the background, its edges softened by the water's movement. at the edge is a single droplet merging with the main pool, disturbing the red tail light streak.
