Cool blue twilight spills across a glass storefront in Dallas, illuminating a small plastic tray holding rows of hearing aid batteries. The tray rests on a pegboard surface lined with paper tags and brushed metal tools. Acrylic dividers separate the small cylindrical cells, catching the indigo glow from the wet street outside. Fine dust particles float in the beam of store-service light, settling on cardboard backing and tissue paper scraps. The wet pavement reflects the cool tones, while the dry season air leaves the surfaces crisp. Shadows stretch across the metal handles, defining the edges of the practical merchandising setup against the glass. One paper tag hangs slightly askew on a plastic hook.
