Dhaka Phone Store Demo Table Before Dawn

Soft tungsten lamplight pools across a long wooden demo table inside a Dhaka storefront, illuminating rows of tethered smartphones resting on black charging pads. Acrylic stands hold device screens upright while coiled cables snake across the surface in organized loops. The late summer heat is not felt but suggested by the faint condensation on glass surfaces near the front window, where pale dawn light begins to bleed through the blinds. Converging lines of the table and floor tiles draw toward the darkened back of the shop. Dust settles on the edges of the display cases, and the metallic sheen of the phone frames catches the warm artificial glow against the cooling blue of the incoming morning.
