Twilight light falls through the window, casting cool blue reflections across the polished surfaces of a curbside retail stockroom. A handled rain-hood bag rests heavily on a counter, its smudged acrylic texture catching the fading daylight. Beside it, worn drawer liners show signs of constant use, their edges frayed and stained with the grit of daily operations. The wet season outside presses against the glass, blurring the street scene into streaks of gray and silver. The bag's handles loop loosely, while the acrylic surface reflects the dim interior lights in distorted, shimmering patches. Dust motes settle on the rough texture of the liner, against the smooth, slick finish of the bag's material. One smear of grease marks the corner of the drawer.
