First light of dawn falls through the open rear doors of a grooming van parked in an outdoor boarding run in Nis. Water tank gauges on the wall display rising levels, their green and red needles still against the morning gray. Stacks of folded white towels rest on a metal counter, their edges crisp against the damp air of monsoon season. Above the workspace, dryer holsters hang in a neat row, strapped securely to the interior paneling. Leashes coil loosely on the floor, adding a lived-in texture to the scene. The concrete floor outside shows puddles reflecting the pale sky, while the van's interior remains dry and organized, balancing care and commerce in a quiet moment before the day begins.
