Fine strands of dog fur catch the low sun, drifting through the air near ceramic bowls. The rainy season has left the ground outside damp, visible through the doorway where the van sits. A shadow from the roof edge falls across the metal floor, defining the boundary between the warm interior and the cooling twilight outside.
