Grape Stomping in Wooden Barrel Jeddah

Pale monsoon light floods the workshop through a high window, bouncing off smooth, cream-colored walls to illuminate a large wooden barrel resting on a sturdy shelf. Inside the barrel, clusters of dark purple grapes show signs of crushing, their skins split to reveal sticky, translucent juice pooling among the stems. The wood grain of the barrel runs vertically, worn and textured from use, while the shelf beneath holds faint shadows cast by the overhead light.
