Bright afternoon light floods the expansive prayer hall near Yüksekova, piercing through a thick layer of low-hanging fog that settles just above the floor. One lantern hangs suspended in the center, its warm amber glow contrasting sharply with the cool, steel-gray mist. The hall features high, sturdy arches and rows of simple wooden benches arranged with precise, disciplined order. Late autumn is evident in the bare, weathered wood and the way the light diffuses through the suspended moisture. The fog softens the distant pillars, showing depth while the lantern remains the only sharp, luminous point in the vast, hazy interior. Dust motes swirl gently in the shafts of daylight that cut through the gloom, illuminating the texture of the stone walls.
