Warm yellow light spills from a bare bulb suspended directly above a wooden crate filled with bright red tomatoes and green limes. The fruit sits on a rough-hewn table inside a roadside diner in Ibb, where wet season moisture coats the skins. Soft reflections shimmer across the polished metal rim of a nearby serving tray and the glass of a water pitcher beside the crate. The fruit skins glisten under the focused glow, their textures sharp against the dimming twilight. Shadows stretch across the dark wooden floorboards, while the background fades into a deep, indigo blur of the evening outside. A small crack in the table edge catches the light, revealing the raw grain beneath the varnish.
