Bright Yellow Lemons in Phuket

First light falls through the mist to illuminate a cluster of bright yellow lemons resting on a rough wooden balcony rail in Phuket. Raindrops rest on the textured citrus skin, catching the soft gray glow of the early morning sky above the distant palm fronds. The wet wood beneath the fruit reflects the pale light, showing the grain and the slick surface left by the recent shower. One droplet hangs precariously from the stem, ready to fall onto the weathered slats below.
