Gilded Harp in Victoria Rehearsal Room

Condensation beads rest on the heavy glass of a window frame, signaling the humid monsoon air outside. Inside, a harp stands with a column wrapped in tarnished gold leaf, catching the cool, directional light from the north. The instrument's wooden neck and metal strings dominate the tight view, resting against a wall of pale, weathered plaster. Water droplets slide slowly down the window pane, blurring the green tropical foliage beyond. The gilded surfaces reflect the dim interior, creating soft highlights on the carved details. The wood grain of the soundboard shows deep, worn texture where fingers have rested for hours. One shadow stretches across the floorboards, at the base of the instrument in the quiet space.
