Garlic Bulbs in Marrakech

A cluster of rough, papery garlic bulbs rests on a dark wooden shelf within a dimly lit pantry in Marrakech. Soft, diffused morning light falls through a nearby window, highlighting the intricate veining and white skin of the dried cloves. Beside the garlic, a simple ceramic bowl holds a few remaining cloves, their shapes casting long, gentle shadows across the grain of the wood. The damp air of the first light after rain seems to settle on the cool, textured surfaces of the stored produce.
