Garden Tools in Seattle at As First Light Reaches The Scene

Early morning light falls through the heavy Pacific Northwest sky, casting long, sharp shadows from the nearby railway viaduct across a cluster of community garden allotments. The wet asphalt and wooden planter boxes glisten with recent rain, reflecting the gray concrete infrastructure above. A weathered pegboard leans against a shed wall, holding rusted shovels and trowels, while a faded wall hook supports a coiled hose. Water marks stain the painted plaster of a small greenhouse, evidence of damp conditions. Nearby, a drain collects fallen leaves and paint flecks, at the base of the scene in the gritty, lived-in reality of urban gardening. The composition shows the intersection of industrial shadow and domestic cultivation.
