Thick mist rests on the wooden planks of a weather-worn feedlot lane gate in Iceland. A leather halter hangs limp on the left post, its dark grain absorbing the faint twilight glow. The metal latch chain bears a heavy coating of white frost, against the rusted iron. Deep hoof prints scar the muddy ground around the base of the post, filled with shadow.
