Flamenco Guitarist Under Circus Tent in Madrid

Golden light spills across the rough canvas floor of a circus tent in Lavapies, Madrid, illuminating a guitarist seated at the frame's edge. The musician wears a dark suit that absorbs the firelight warmth, while the low-hanging winter clouds outside cast a soft, diffuse gray backdrop through the tent fabric. Dust motes float in the shafts of orange light hitting the worn wooden neck of the classical guitar. Faded red and gold circus stripes stretch overhead, against the deep shadows in the tent corners. The player's left hand presses tight against the fretboard, fingers poised on steel strings, while the right hand hovers over the soundhole. A small clay ashtray sits on a nearby wooden crate, catching a reflection of the flame's glow. at the edge is the frayed edge of a velvet curtain caught in the corner.
