Golden hour light spills across the narrow stone steps of a Cannaregi canal, illuminating a fishmonger’s stall where fresh catch glistens on ice. A wicker basket sits open beside a stack of red lacquered wooden crates, their vibrant hue against the weathered gray masonry. The vendor, sleeves rolled up, hands a wrapped bundle to a customer whose face is partially obscured by a straw hat. In the foreground, a porcelain jar holds loose tea, its lid askew, while a folding ruler leans against the counter, marked with salt stains. The bustling commerce of the Rialto area, with reflections of the setting sun dancing on the wet pavement.
