Warm golden sunlight from the setting sun strikes the weathered skin of a ferry pilot's face, highlighting deep lines and the texture of his stubble. A cool amber glow from a navigation light reflects sharply in his eyes, against the orange tones of the daylight. Fine mist drifts across the background, softening the view of colonial stucco walls and tiled roofs in Villahermosa's old quarter. He wears a dark uniform cap, with visible moisture clinging to the fabric folds. His gaze remains fixed forward, steady and focused. The light falls across his cheekbone, while shadows deepen the hollows of his cheeks. A wet droplet rests on the edge of his cap brim.
