Fencer Lunging on Snow Under Chairlift in Mist

Bright midmorning light diffuses through thick winter mist, softening the edges of a snow-packed run near Interlaken. A fencer in full white gear lunges forward on a polished piste laid directly across the white field. The metal rails of the chairlift towers rise vertically in the background, their cables disappearing into the gray fog. Snow rests on the fencer's boots and the piste's surface, creating a sharp contrast between the smooth, dark strip and the surrounding drifts. Discipline focuses the fencer's posture, mask reflecting the pale sky. The chairlift supports cast long, faint shadows that stretch across the textured snow, at the base of the figure in the cold, damp air.
