Feather Barbule Macro Detail Turquoise Wall San Juan

Soft overcast light fills the indoor space, revealing the intricate lattice of a single feather against a wall of weathered turquoise paint. The surface texture of the paint shows deep cracks and peeling layers, against the delicate, hair-like barbules branching from the central shaft. Cool season tones dominate the palette, with the faded blue-green of the plaster at the base of the image in a San Juan interior. Shallow depth of field blurs the background into smooth gradients of color, while the foreground remains sharp enough to show the microscopic hooklets interlocking along the barbs. A faint, soft reflection glimmers on a nearby metallic fixture, adding a subtle sheen to the otherwise matte surfaces. The fine white fibers of the feather stand out clearly against the rough, chipped paint texture.
