A full-grown English Foxhound stands centered on the weathered wooden boards of a front porch in Jinja, its tricolor coat catching faint neon edges from the street below. The dog's muzzle is broad and defined, ears set low and folded against the cool night air. Behind the animal, dark shadows swallow the porch railings, leaving only the texture of the painted wood visible. The lighting creates a sharp rim of cool blue and soft amber along the curve of the hound's shoulder and the tip of its nose. The dog gazes directly into the lens with an intense, quiet focus, its eyes reflecting the distant glow. Negative space frames the subject on all sides, showing the isolation of the animal against the dark, empty porch floor. One drop of rain glistens on the hound's left foreleg.
