A poodle stands centered against a plain plaster wall in Avignon, its curly coat catching the soft north-light of late afternoon. The animal's muzzle shape and distinct ear set are sharp against the muted beige background. Fine dust motes drift in the faint shafts of light that pierce the room, settling on the textured fur. The 13mm lens shows the full head and shoulders with a wide perspective that keeps the wall flat and uncluttered. Shadows fall gently behind the subject, at the base of the figure in the quiet space.
