A poodle stands centered against a plain plaster wall, its curly coat rendered in sharp detail by the honey-colored light streaming from a nearby window. The animal's muzzle shape and distinct ear set define the breed, while the copper-toned atmosphere suggests the time just before dusk. Soft indoor shadows pool around the base of the dog, adding depth to the composition. The wall behind shows subtle texture variations typical of local construction, at the base of the image in a specific interior space. The animal gazes forward with a weathered dignity, its fur catching the warm glow that highlights every curl. A faint reflection appears on the smooth plaster surface near the dog's shoulder.
