A wet pavement in Bilbao’s Casco Viejo reflects the amber glow of a nearby bar window, where a local worker pauses to adjust a red rain poncho. Beside him, leaning against a damp stone wall, rests a pair of green pruning shears and a woven scrap basket, evidence of recent street maintenance. The scene is framed by the rough texture of centuries-old masonry and the slick sheen of modern rain-slicked cobblestones. One blue and white porcelain jar sits precariously on a nearby shop sill, its glaze catching the diffused dusk light.
