The jar sits beside a cluster of kitchen shelves visible through the open window, where a mug tree holds several white cups in the dim interior depth. Below the sill, a brown dog stretches lazily on the cobblestones, its fur illuminated by the warm, directional sunlight that highlights the rough texture of the old masonry. One pigeon lands nearby, casting a fleeting shadow that ripples across the dog's flank before it takes flight again.
