Grey concrete slabs form a temporary staircase rising from a mist-filled excavation near Manisa. Pale dawn light spills across the rough aggregate surfaces, illuminating bundles of construction materials wrapped in white tape. Low ground fog pools around the base of the steps, obscuring the deep trench below while the air remains still. Converging lines of the metal railings and wooden supports guide toward a distant vanishing point where the site boundary dissolves into the morning haze. The labels on the tape are crisp against the dull morning light, marking the practical urgency of the work ahead. A faint orange reflection from the rising sun catches the edge of a metal bracket on the lowest step.
