Conductor Silhouette Against Neon Suzhou Theater

Cyan and magenta neon streaks from the city outside wash across the dark velvet curtains of a Suzhou theater stage. A conductor stands silhouetted against the glow, one hand raised high above the empty rows of seats. Warm interior shadows pool along the polished wooden floor, against the cool city light filtering through high windows. Heavy drapes hang from the ceiling beams, their folds catching the faint reflection of the neon glow. The wooden proscenium arch frames the figure, while late autumn leaves visible through the distant glass add a touch of orange to the dark stage. A faint reflection of the raised hand appears on the glossy floor beneath the performer's feet.
