Condensed Steam on Laboratory Autoclave Door in inside a clean room in Al Ain

Condensed Steam on Laboratory Autoclave Door

by Darlene Navarro

Water droplets coat the curved stainless steel surface of an autoclave door, clustering in dense rows before sliding downward. North window light strikes the metal from the left, highlighting the spherical shapes of the condensate while leaving the right side in cool shadow. The polished surface reflects the sterile white walls of the Al Ain clean room. In the corners, warm lamplight settles against the cold industrial finish, creating a stark contrast between the artificial glow and the midday winter daylight. Tiny rivets secure the heavy door seal, their heads catching the sidelight. One droplet hangs precariously on the lower edge, about to merge with the trail below.
