Concrete Wash Basin in Phnom Penh

A weathered concrete wash basin sits on a low tiled ledge in a dimly lit bathroom corner of a Phnom Penh home. The rough gray surface of the basin reflects the pale, diffused light filtering in from a high window after the morning rain. Water droplets rest on the chipped edges of the white ceramic, highlighting the texture of the aged material and the surrounding damp tiles. A small puddle of clear water has collected in the basin's depression, mirroring the faint glow of the early sky above.
