Honey-colored window light spills across the paneled walls of a Sittwe cottage room, illuminating a wooden coat stand resting on a museum plinth. The warm glow highlights the smooth curves of the hooks and the sturdy base against the cool season air. Shadows fall softly into the corners where the lamplight settles, creating a quiet domestic order. The wood grain catches the light, showing texture and wear along the edges. Dust motes hang still in the beams, showing the calm atmosphere. A deep shadow rests on the floorboards beside the plinth, at the base of the object in the space.
