Blue hour settles over the Alsancak district, where the fading light catches the wet cobblestones of a narrow side street near the Kordon. A local vendor’s cart, steaming with fresh simit, sits parked against a weathered stone wall, its metal surfaces reflecting the deep indigo sky. On the counter, a stack of colorful postcards leans against a ceramic jar, their bright hues against the muted surroundings. Nearby, a child in a yellow raincoat holds a deflated kite, its string tangled around a rusted boot scraper bolted to the pavement. The quiet transition of evening, with distant tram bells echoing and the glow of streetlights beginning to pierce the twilight.
