Ceramic Planter in Granada

A sun-bleached ceramic planter sits on a whitewashed adobe ledge in a Granada patio, its rough texture against the smooth, cool stone beneath it. Inside the pot, vibrant green rosemary and mint leaves catch the bright winter noon light, their waxy surfaces reflecting sharp highlights against the shadowed recess of the wall. Behind the planter, the deep blue of a traditional wrought-iron balcony railing frames the scene, while a glimpse of a terracotta roof tile and a distant minaret tip prove the Andalusian location. One dried leaf rests against the curved rim of the pot, its brittle edge catching a glint of sunlight that emphasizes the contrast between life and decay.
