Weathered Copper Watering Can on Bedside Table
by Damon Wu
Soft, diffused midday light fills the room in Quezon City, settling evenly over a copper watering can resting on a wooden bedside table. The metal surface shows a mottled patina of greens and browns, evidence of years of use and exposure. Surrounding the can lie a few other garden tools with worn handles, their textures rough against the smooth, clean wood of the table. The scene remains uncluttered, with open space around the objects highlighting their weather-beaten resilience. Shadows are faint and soft, lacking harsh edges, allowing the details of the oxidized copper to stand out clearly against the neutral background. The turn of the season is suggested by the quiet stillness of the arrangement. A faint reflection of the overhead light glints on the curved spout of the watering can.
