Warm candlelight flickers against a deep indigo predawn sky, illuminating an embroidered banner suspended in a temple courtyard near Yazd. Fine rain falls gently, catching the glow and creating shimmering streaks across the fabric. The banner displays intricate geometric patterns in gold, crimson, and teal thread that stand out vividly against the dark stone walls. Water droplets rest on the heavy cotton, weighing down the edges slightly. Symmetrical stone arches frame the scene on either side, their rough textures softened by the damp air. The wet pavement reflects the dancing flames, doubling the light sources. A thin layer of moisture coats the embroidered surface, making the threads glisten like wet silk under the low, steady glow of the candles.
