Soft, overcast light fills the workshop in Bursa as dry season air settles before sunrise. A framer stands in profile, their dark work jacket dusted with fine gold flakes that catch the muted glow. Behind them, metal tools rest on a wooden bench, secondary to the figure who dominates the foreground. Dramatic clouds press against the high windows, casting a cool, diffused pallor over the room. The framer's hands are still, holding a small frame, while loose gold dust floats near their shoulders. One fleck of gold rests on the edge of a dark wooden miter box, catching the faint light against the shadowed corner.
